W.H. Brokaw founded the nursery with his wife Ellen in 1956. Hank's science background lent itself to improve a family nursery tradition into what is recognized internationally as a preeminent grower of quality subtropical nursery stock and innovative cultivars. Hank farms over 200 acres of avocado, citrus and other subtropical fruits. Hank serves as Vice President of Brokaw Nursery, Inc.
